Volunteer

Volunteer at LoveTouro | 16 June 2024

LoveTouro powered by Cycle Law Scotland will add a new road cycling dimension to the TweedLove Festival & we’d love you to get involved. Every year, over 100 volunteers make the Festival happen and this year will be no different as we offer events for every kind of rider. If you volunteer to help at this one, you can enjoy all the Festival fun before and after the event!

So what roles do you have?

We’ll need registration crew, start & finish marshals, course marshals & feed station crew. We will always do our best to allocate you to a role to suit your preferences. Please note event village crew may be asked to help with another event too – it’s also race day for Round 2 of the YT Industries TweedLove International.

What’s the deal?

No experience is necessary, volunteers need to be at least 16 years old. We’ll provide everything you need for the day, including lunch, snacks, an exclusive Valley Crew t-shirt and free camping. You’ll just need to dress for the weather! If you volunteer for a full day, we can offer you FREE entry into another TweedLove event.

How do I sign up?

To join the Valley Crew please click here or email volunteers@tweedlove.com for more information. You’ll be joining a fun team (honest) and have our eternal thanks!

Who’s making it happen?

Our Valley Crew Coordinator Sarah Birks will be looking after all of our volunteers at events & she’s more than happy for you to get in touch with any questions.

We’re also delighted to announce that local estate agents and solicitors, Cullen Kilshaw are the official Valley Crew Partner for the third year running. Their support means branded hi-vis, new t-shirts, great lunches and much more!

Volunteer at Touro | 7 September 2025

We’re looking for volunteers to help make Tour O The Borders the very best it can be. Riders often tell us what a difference the Valley Crew make to them with their support throughout the course. It really is true that volunteers help make the event and without volunteers, the event simply couldn’t happen.

So what roles do you have?

We need people to fill every kind of role you can imagine – join the friendliest registration crew, marshal out on the course in a stunning Borders location, hand out medals to riders as they finish & celebrate their achievements! Also essential to the smooth running of the event are communication operators, early morning parking, feed station and vehicle support crews. And if you can’t help on the day itself, we’ll welcome your help with course marking prior to the event & clear down afterwards too.

What’s the deal?

No experience is necessary, volunteers need to be at least 16 years old. We’ll provide everything you need for the day, including lunch, snacks, an exclusive Valley Crew t-shirt and free camping. You’ll just need to dress for the weather! You’ll need to be available for at least half the day to qualify for the £35 volunteer payment.
