 Riding together against cancer

Tour O The Borders is joining forces with Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 campaign to support the fight against cancer.

Sunday 7 September 2025 is a big day for road cycling in Scotland, with not only Tour O The Borders, but also Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 event encouraging thousands of people to ride together against cancer

Having two huge public participation rides like this on at the same time is a momentous occasion for Scotland’s cycling community, and for riders with every level of motivation or experience.

Most importantly, together we can provide a huge amount of support for this, the most important of causes, by riding and raising money for cancer charities across the UK.

From the Tour de 4 team – “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Tour O The Borders and share that participants of their event can fundraise for Tour de 4’s nominated charities in completing their 120km or 88km rides.”

  2. Click on the cancer charity in the list that you wish to raise money for.
  3. Enter your details to create your GoFundMe fundraising page – it will look like the image to the left.

You can pick from the 320 cancer charities in the UK and it will all go towards the Tour de 4 project and the fight against cancer.

Looking to sign up for Touro?

You can show your support for Sir Chris Hoy’s cancer charity fundraiser when you sign up. An automatic £5 donation per rider will be added to your entry fee. £4 of this will go directly to the five core cancer charities chosen by Sir Chris, and £1 will go to the Touro Trust to support communities around the Tour O The Borders route

By working together, we’re sure Touro can play a big part in helping this project and make a memorable day out for the UK cycling community.
