Here’s one for the new riders

THE WEE TOURO: A new 30km, free-to-enter, undemanding ride for all kinds of cyclists.
Saturday 6 September – Peebles
If you’re not up for riding Tour O The Borders itself but still want to join in the cycling action, we’re offering a new free, friendly and fun event as part of the Touro weekend.
The Wee Touro welcomes everyone to take part – all ages* and abilities and every kind of bike.
The 30km cycle on quiet roads and multi-use paths will start and finish at the Tour O The Borders event village on Tweed Green in Peebles. It will follow the River Tweed for much of the way along the Tweed Valley Railway Path, taking riders to Walkerburn and back. There will even be a chance to refuel with locally-baked cakes along the way.
Riders will return to Peebles and can relax and enjoy the buzz of the event village with a choice of good food, drink and some music. It’s easy for family and friends to support and spectate on the route too, as no roads or paths will be closed on the Saturday for this event.
Wee Touro is perfectly timed so you can ride more during the summer months, and increase your fitness, skills and confidence on a bike.

It also provides an opportunity for friends and family of Touro riders to take part in a welcoming, social and fairly undemanding ride during the Touro weekend.
